A traditional 18th century Scottish coaching inn, dating from 1760, set in the heart of Perthshire in the village of Bankfoot, we are a family-run hotel, just south of Dunkeld. Ideally placed as a base for weekend and short breaks, we're only 45 miles from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. The inn is close to River Tay salmon fishing and 8.8 miles north of Perth. A wide range of outdoor activities are found nearby, just a little further from the Tay Forest Park and 22.3 miles from bungee jumping at the Killiecrankie Pass. Accommodation is spread across six comfortable rooms, all are non-smoking, with free WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player (DVD library available), tea/ coffeemaking facilities. Pet dogs are welcome in hotel and in rooms, provided they are well-behaved and have own bedding. Downstairs, we have our public bar, lounge bar and restaurant, where we serve good, home-cooked food and good craic. We host weekly folk music sessions every Wednesday evening, these are open for anyone to join in. For the beer lover, we are listed in the CAMRA "Good Beer Guide" and offer an ever-changing choice of ales (we were also CAMRA "Pub of the Year" Runner-up in 2013). The inn is open all year and we cater for all interested parties. During the cooler months, we have the fires lit to make our home warm and cosy.

By Air Edinburgh (1 .25hrs), Glasgow 1.5hrs) Dundee (30 mins). From Edinburgh follow signs for M90 to Perth then follow signs for A93 Braemar. From Dundee follow signs for Coupar Angus and the hotel is on the right when entering Blairgowrie. Getting there from the Local Blairgowrie Tourist Information Centre From Blairgowrie Tourist Information Centre the hotel is directly opposite. By Railway From Perth either get a bus from the bus station directly opposite or if driving follow the signs for A93 to Braemar. Blairgowrie is an excellent touring centre with five main tourists routes all passing through it. Dunkeld, Perth, Scone Palace with Perth racecourse, Dundee and Glamis castle are all within thirty minutes by road.
