Directions:
From Glasgow and Edinburgh head towards Stirling on the M9. Having bye-passed Stirling city and castle take the A9 north towards Perth. Within 7 miles of Stirling take the tourist route brown sign-posted A822 towards Pitlochry and you follow through the historical wee towns of Braco and Muthill before coming to Crieff and birth place of Ewen McGregor. On entering the speed zone of Crieff you pass over the River Earn bridge and James Cottage is suitably located within 600 metres of the bridge on the left-hand side of the road and within a 5-minute walk of the town centre where there is an abundance of pubs shops and restaurant for the engaging visitor. By Rail - Direct services to Pitlochry from London Edinburgh Glasgow and Inverness. All Tourist Information Centres can supply train times. By Coach - With National Express and City Link. There are comfortable express coaches from all major towns in the UK. Travel agents bus stations and Tourist Information Centres have information on timetables and tickets. Rosehill Guest House is situated just off Atholl Road which is the main street in Pitlochry. From the South From Perth take the A9 route North and follow the signs for Pitlochry. After approximately 40 minutes branch left on to the A924 signposted Pitlochry. Once you enter the town you will see the Police station and Tourist Office on your right. Go through the 1st set of traffic lights and turn left into Ferry Road and left again immediately in to Rosehill car park. Do not go under the bridge as you will have passed the entry point to Rosehill Guest House. From the North From Inverness take the A9 route South and follow the signs for Pitlochry. After approximately 1 hours branch left on to the A924 signposted Pitlochry and continue until you reach the centre of the town. You will now be on the main street Atholl Road. Continue on this road passing the Fishers hotel on your right until you see a memorial also on your right. Take the next right in to Ferry Road and left again immediately in to Rosehill car park. Do not go under the bridge as you will have passed the entry point to Rosehill Guest House. We are located 1 hours from both Edinburgh and Glasgow International Airports.If you are travelling from mainland Europe via Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Rosyth on the Superfast Ferries we are approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes North of the ferry terminal via M90 Perth and then on to the A9 Pitlochry. The cities of London Edinburgh Glasgow and Inverness have good transport links to Pitlochry if you intend arriving by train - www.scotrail.co.uk - or - www.gner.co.uk.
